A SUGGESTION

Sir. —I don't know liow anyone else; feels about it, but it seems to me a farco holding Anzac Day on any odd date that happens to fit in as a holiday. Why a holiday? lam very euro our boys who helped to make it Anzac Day do not think about it as a holiday. I would suggest that we go .on with oiir work as usual, and out of our wages give, say, one shilling to help buy comforts for the lads at the front; that all business places should be closed for one hour, and a short service be. held in. the open, where men could attend in their working clothcs, going quietly back 'to their work again. It would.be much more in keeping with the times, and with what our lads are doing for us. —I am, etc., MOTHER.
