SITTINGS CONCLUDED. ,TJ]a Congregational Union concluded its"sittings yesterday. Tho Rev. W. M. Grant presided. The oloction of officers resulted as under: —Chairman, Rov. A. Hodge; secretary, Rev. A. E. Hunt; treasurer, Mr. F. Meadowcroft; auditor, "Mr. H. Miller.; preacher, Rev. F. Warner: registrar, Rev. E. A. Bridger; Wellington Committeo, Revs. J. R. Glasson, Aspland, Evans. Messrs. Ewen, Greig, Huuter, Knowles. Lowis, Miller, Forsyth, Port, and Nettleton. Finance and Legal Committee:— Messrs. Lewis, Ewcn, Forsyth, and tho chairman, secretary, and treasurer. The following were elected life members of the council:—Hon. G. Fowlds, and Messrs. Moore, Mitchell, Hooten, Revs. W. S. Fcrnie, and B. L. Thomas. Several recommendations for the Reference Committee were formally approved. The council passed a resolution tendering the thanks of t.ho union to the Auckland members who had for so many years, whilo headquarters- were at. Auckland, rendered zealous and efficient service for tho union. (The liead office and the Central Council have now been moved to Wellington.) In tho evening the conference was concluded with Divine service, a special sermon being preached by the Rev T-T. Allen Job.
