IBt Glencoe.l The autumn meeting of the Masterlon Racing Club will be held on Thursday and Friday. Wellington patrons can travel to Opaki by tho ranil train, leaving Lambton Station at 7.50 a.m. The Irish-bred Cynic, purchased in Ireland by Sir Jas. Carroll for Mr. H. De Latourj"of Gisborno, was finishing on well at the pnd of the Esk Handicap at Napier. He is a big upstanding horse, and will always be better suited over longer courses. His next outing will be at Opaki on Thursday, where the consistent Perfidy is 6et to concedo him a stone over a mile and a distance. Of the'two horses Cynic looks the best ablo to carry weight and get tho distance. At Trentlinm H. A. Telford has six yearlings in work. Bonny Maid, who showed pace in the Juvenile Handicap at Napier, is a halfsister to Ladoga, and carries tho wellknown colours of "Mr. P. Soames." Sho greatly resembles Ladoga in appearance. She has a very good disposition, and should do well at her next outing. Sho is a member of the team controlled by J. Ayers. The sanio trainer has another colt by Signor from Carrissima, called Battle Array. So far tliis youngster has not sported Bilk owing to one of his joints giving trouble. He is a big lazy colt, and will not hurt himself on tho tracks.

The two crack three-year-olds, Kilboy and Sasanof, are exactly opposites, as far as make and shape go, Kilboy being one of the big gross type, and Sasanof inclined to be somewhat mean, though not at all ponified. Many owners are trying out both the Auckland and. C.J.C. liandicappers. Ono or two trainers make, no secret about tho matter, an.d say thoy intend racing at whichever meeting they think their charges have the best chance of getting money. 1 Handicaps, for the C.J.C, Great Easter and 1 Autumn Handicaps are due on Friday .next. Trials, winner of the Napier Cup, is by Tribulation from tho Torpedo mare Opaline. Ho had done some very smart gallops on tho Hastings track, and this, combined];with his good showing in tho Dannovivko Cup, 'caused him to get plenty of support from his immediate connections.
