HIBERNIAN SOCIETY.
ANNUAL COMMUNION AND BREAKFAST. Yesterday being the Sunday prior to St. Pfttriok's Day, and tho day set apart hi the rules of the .Hibernian Society to hold the annual general communion of the society, there, was a. largo attendance of members at St. Mary's of the Angels Church, Bouleott Street, at the 8 a.m. Mass. The Rov. Father Alahony, S.M., celebrated Mass, and also preached. At the conclusion of the Mass the members marched in ful regalia to Gamble and Creed's tea-room for their annual breakfast. Bro. J. O'Brien presided, and Archbishop Rodwood, the Rev. Father Mahony, and thc.ltev. Brothers Egbort and Sigisford were also present. Bro. O'Brien, in his opening remarks, congratulated tho members on their splendid attendance, and also extended tho- thanks of tho society to Archbishop Redwood for his kindly and practical interest in the society, his membership dating as far back as 1875. He wished to apologise for the absence of Archbishop O'Shea, the Very Rev. Father Roche, Dean Holly, and others.
Archbishop Redwood congratulated tho members on their rnagnificont and practical, demonstration of Catholicity. It was his earnest desire to see the society progress, as it not only catered for tho material benefits, but it was also a spiritual aid to its members.
Several toasts were honoured, and responded to by various speakers.
