THE IRISH SETTLEMENT
A COMMISSION PROBABLE. London, March 6. Tho "Daily Chronicle" states that it is rumoured that tho Government contemplates appointing a, commission to report on the expediorioy of tho Irishquestion. The Government will not refuse Mr. O'Connor's resolution pointblank, but it will not accept Sir George Reid!s amendment.
The'"Chronicle" adds: "The Government has decided t,o prolong Parliament for half- a year after April." < (Rec. March 7, 9 p.m.)
