ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Every effort is being made by the Irishmen of Wellington to worthily celebrate St. Patrick's Day, which falls on Saturday week. There will be national sports at Newtown Park, and in the evening a grand Irish national concert will bo held at the Town Hall. For the concert, Mr. Fred. G. Bourkc, of' Auckland, and Mrs. It. Amers Power, of Dunedin, have been specially engaged, together with the lepding talent of Wellington. St. Patrick's concerts are always looked forward to with pleasure, and the committee arc determined that the high standard must be maintained. The enterprise shown in giving the public an opportunity to hear some of New Zealand's leading: talent, is expected to bo rewarded by a bumper house.
