London, March 5. 'flic "Daily Telegraph" states that Lord Dcvonport will probably take important and far-reaching steps this week regarding food supplies and prices. Ho will moot the traders who request higher prices in view of the restriction placed on imports. Lord Dcvonport has decided, in the event of an official scheduling of prices, to tako the prices prior to Mr. Lloyd George's speech as the standard, unless there is good reason for the contrary. It is fully expected that the fixing of retail prices will further hit the small suburban shops, who already find it difficult to got supplies.—Ans.'N.Z. Cable Assn.
