THE CLERGY AND THE BALLOT

Sir—Tho Rev. Father M'Gralli, as reported in your issue of this morning, makes much of what he calls "a clerical shout for equality." Now, sir, whore is tho "equality" if one Church sends moro than a fourth of its men. and another sends none at all? Are the Catholics prepared to send 26 per cent, of their ministers, as the Methodist Church has done? If they are, I imagine the Government would let them make tho choice themselves. If not, they should cease howling about other Churches. —I am, etc, PATRIOT.
