LOAN PROPOSAL REJECTED
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March 1. A poll was taken to-day -to borrow £27,500 to purchase Canterbury Hall and convert it into ;i Town Hali. The proposal was defeated bv 2-M7 votes to 1339.
