ANNUAL MEETING. The nineteenth ordinary general meeting of the New Zealand Accountants and Auditors' Association was held in tho Accountants' Chambers, Johnston. Street, last evening. Mr. J. H. G. Rowley was in the chair. Tho report submitted by tho council stated that Mr. E. G. Matthews, of Gisborne, who had been a- member since January, 1906, died during the year. Fifteen members of the association had joined the colours. The accounts for the year showed an excess of income over expenditure of £24 9s. Id. Tho total cash and bank balances at the end of 1915 amounted to £218 6s. Id. During the year tho council invested £100 in war certificates, and in addition to this investment the association at the end of 1916 held cash balances amountng to £153 6s. 2d:
There are now 218 members on the roll. During tho year five ajjplieations for membership were received, four of which wore granted and one rejected.
