NEWSPAPER PROPRIETORS ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the provincial section of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association was held yesterday, afternoon, Mr. P. Pirani presiding, and forty Press representatives were pre- ; sent. Various matters of interest to provincial newspapers were discussed. The Standing Committee was re-elected, as follows:—Messrs. F. Firani, chairman; Mr. AY. C. AYestoti, lion. trea- ; surer (''Taranaki Herald"); H. Duigan, (AVanganui "Chronicle"), C. Walker (Hawera "Star"), representing the. North Island; Messrs. P. Bond (Nelson "Colonist"), R, Bell (Ashburton "Guardian"), R. J. Gilmour (Southland "Times"); Mr, A. M'Nicol (Dannevirke "News"), hon. secretary.
