WATERSIDERS IN COURT
SEQUEL TO THE COALING TROUBLE. - The sequel to the trouble in connection with the coaling of the ferry steamers was heard in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday, when the following fourteen waterside workers—X3. Hallem, Thomas Joseph Hedderman, J. Ham, John Trew, Thomas Reynolds, N. Knott, John Francis Calvert,, J. Smith, John Nicholas Carwood, Frederick George Coley, Michael Henry M'Cabc, J. F. Starkie, P. Henne, and V. Jensen —wero each charged with committing "an act intended to delay the proper dispatch of the s.s. Maori from the port of Wellington, to wit, the act of' refusing in breach of the agreement entered into by him to load the said vessel with bunker coal, contrary to Clauso 15 of tho Regulations mado on February 9 and tho ,AVar Regulations Amendment Act." Mr. P. S. K. Macassey appeared to prosecute, and Mr. P. J. O'Regan and Mr. H. F.. O'Lcary appeared for the defendants. On the application of Mr. O'Lcary the Magistrate, Mr. L. GJ ■Seitl, S.M., granted a Temand to Tuesday next.
