STATEMENT IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. London, February 20. In the House of Commons, Mr. G, B. Stanton asked Mr. W. H. Long (Colonial Secretary) whether he had seen a report of the Colonial Consignment Company pointing out the effort of the Chicago beef monopoly to corner New Zealand's meat output; whether his attention had been caEed to the secret operations of the Meat Trust in. New Zealand; and whether, seeing thab the irritation and suspicion exist iff New Zealand regarding what compajP ies are under American control, he will immediately confer with Mr. Massey. ■, regarding the steps necessary to keep > this source of Britain's food eupply . free from foreign influence.
