This weird Btory of "the strangely-beau-tiful eorceress who reigned as queen in the morning of the world" is described as being ono of the most powerful productions on the .screen. Madame Alice Delyeia has the role of "She," and various Rcenes of mystery/and magic so vividlj described in the book are exceptionally well presented in the picture. EVERYBODY'S THEATER Tho Mutual Chaplin comedy "The Pawnbroker" is proving an immensely popular attraction. A rather w"f ua l feature of this picture is the fact that it appeals to the feminine as well as the masculine idea of humour. The- chief attraction at tho Empress is tho World Film play "As in a Lookingglass," in which the etatuesquo loading lady, Kitty Gordon, plays the part of a eecret service woman, putting her wits against tho diplomats of the world in an effort to secure papers concerning American defence measures. A clever comedy and interesting topical are included in the programme Commencing on Saturday, a fine picture called "Human Driftwood" will be shown. This is another of the World Film special features. Robert Warwick, the matinee idol of America, has fine opportunities in this strong drama, and Frances Nelson is tno heroine.
