a —— ■SENSATIONAL AFFAIR AT PALMERSTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerstop North, February 12. A sensational caso of robbery bv masked armed men' has been icported to tho police. When. Mr. N. H. Sinclair, manager of Watson Brothers 1 Grocery, reached his house ho was held up by two men, who ivero hiding; in the garden. They rifled his pockets, but fortunately ho only had sixpence with him. Then they marched him a considerable distance down the road to an old gravel pit, where they took the keys of the store from him. Sinclair made an.attempt to break awav, hut ono of the men fired at him. Ho pretended to be hit. aud his assailants took to their heels.' On the previous Saturday night p. taxidriver was Tobbed of a' small 6Uro of money by two masked men.
