PAHIATUA SHOW A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING . By Telegraph Special ' Correspondent. Pahiatua, February 9. It was fiue but for a heavy gnle for the Paliiatua Annual Sliow, held to-day. There was a large attendance, and there ■were numerous:;visitors ifroin the surrounding district's;'; 'Over .£SO was taken at the gates, and grandstand. I'r? aatile and sheep were the' strongest sections, arid the cattle were an improvement on last year. The slieep entries showed ti fifty per cent, increase in quality, and the stock exhibits all round were excellent. "The sheep display," the judge .saidi "was very-creditable, the winning animals being true'types, showing .plenty of "bone and breeding." The ram and ewe . lambs were particularly good, the ewes iinder. 12 months being tip-top.
