"A HEARTENING SPECTACLE.
The mounted draft of the 21st lleinfmcomenfc paraded, from the railway station through the principal streets of tho City to Buckle Street Drill Hall early , yesterday afternoon. They are a. sturdy, sun-burnt, hard-bitten lot in appearance, and created p, most favourable' impression as thoy swung along to the fighting music of the Featherston Trumpet Band (under Trumpet-Major Chegwin). They paraded again through the streets ol' the City at about 5 p.m. in easy order, making a brave and heartening show iu the brilliantlylighted streets. Once more the Trumpet Band headed the column, adding its flambuoyant note to the ensemble.
