Association ' rere favoured with beautiful weather l'or ;he final day of the autumn carnival, ind country people showed their appreciation by attending iii large numbers. . The judging of tho horses was continued. There was very good competition among' the saddle horses, but the old winners wero not displaced by any .of the new horses whioh competed. Ji. H'assall's Mickey Free secured first in .the 15st. hack class'. Ten horses entered the ring in the _13st. liaok contest, E. Short's Scout gaining first award, and H. ..Hassall's Defender second. Scout also annexed tho championship. In tlio list, hack class, TV. Howard Booth's lonely secured first award, find Stanley Goodwin's Borneo second. Lady's hack, ■mare or gelding, to be ridden by a lady: AY. Howard Booth's Lonely, 1; H. Hassall's Defender, 2. In the harness; horses twenty-two stable 3 were represented in the seven classes competing.. W. H. Gibson's ■Sentry was awarded the red .ribbon. Sentry was first in the class for singlo harness, and second in lady's horse, mare or gelding, to be driven by a lady, the first award in the latter class being given to Mrs. H. M. Howe's entry. Mrs. ■H. M. Eowe was also successful with ■Black Bess in seouring the first award for single harness horso, 11.2 and under 11 hands. Light draught, gelding or mare: A. Lassen's Dick, lj.Mrs. V. A. Densham's Prince, 2. In the three remaining classes, pair of horses shown in dray, pair, of plough horses, and three-horse plough team, A. Campbell's entry secured first award. Spring-carter (up to ono ton): Sassen'a Dick, 1. Horse (most suitable for artillery work): G. I. Lowe's Punch, 1; A. Lassen's Dick, 2. I The pig entry was small, no doubt due to the fact that the association has : not made very muoli provision for such i exhibits, but if the pig industry develops as it should and will, no doubt do, pig breeder's will unquestionably see ' that their claims aro not overlooked. Mr. J. T. Taylor secured all the firsts with tho exception of the class for sow and litter, when he had to take second place, Mr. Dunsford, gaining first with a splendid sow, and a very, large family, evcry'member of which showed quality.
