POSTHUMOUS AWARDS OF VICTORIA CROSS. (Rec. February 4, 5.5 p.m.) » London, February 2. The Victoria Cross has been posthumously awarded to Navy Lieuts. H. 0. B. Finnan and C. H.* Cowley for conspicuous gallantry in an unsuccessful night attempt to reprovision the force that was besieged at Kut-el-Amara, in April, 1916. Both were killed on that occasion.—Renter.
