TO FOIL THE WHEAT PIT JUGGLERS London, February 2. ' Mr. R. E. Prothero (Minister of Agriculture), addressing a. meeting of farmers at Maidstone, said: "A policy of fixed prices is the only fair and honest one. It gives the farmer absolute security. Also, the Imperial point of view has to be considered. 'Wo want a great Imperial policy in Britain in order to he able to say to India, Australia, Egypt, and Canada, 'the farmers of Britain have sacrificed their war profit; it is up to you to make a similar sacrifice for the good of the Empire.' If we are able to get all the Dominions into this great movement we will be able to snap our> fingers at the Chicago speculator." ' Mr. Prothero said he he could bring in the Dominions by fixing the prices in Britain as the basis and key to the whole thing.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. AUSTRALIA'S SUPPLY OF FOODSTUFFS.'
