COOK ON" A RIVER STEAMER , DROWNED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. Wanganui, January 30. A man. named Sam Trottabout, 35 years of age, and married, a cook on Hatrick and Company's river steamers, fell overboard and was drowned last night at Kawana, two miles from Ranana, up the AVanganui River. The body has not yet been recovered. SUDDEN'DEATH ON A TRAMCAR. Wanganui, January 30. John Cavers died suddenly on a tramcar this afternoon. Deceased, who was a married mau, had been employed as n fireman on the New Zealand Refrigerating Company's lighters.
