COPPER BULLETS TO WIN THE WAR
AN APPEAL TO THE DEMOCRACY. (Rec. January 30, 6 p.m.) London, January 30. Sir Joseph Ward (Now Zealand Finance Minister), speaking at a warloan meeting at Eastbourne, said: Uio war is not going to bo won by silver or golden bullets, • but by copper bullets." Ho urged that a greater effort should bo made to obtain the support of tho democracy in every part of the kingdom, and added: "Tho Dominions have already contributed soven hundred thousand mon, and will provide a million, or until they know that their efforts in conjunction with England's are successful. —Ms.-N.L.
