MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL

It was decided to make an increase of 10 per cent, on all rates outstanding on February 19 next. Tho Chief Postmaster, Wellington, wrote to the council, pointing out that tho houses in tho borough were not numbered, and that this caused considerable difficulty, as far as lettercarriers delivering letters'wero concerned. . . ; As the streets in the borougli. wero not yet properly divided off, it was decided that the numborinp; of the houses could not yet he effected. ■ The matter is to be kept in view.
