NEWTOAVN CLUB. A progressive pairs tournament made everyone happy at the Now town Club's green yesterday. Five games (limited to 90 minutes each) resulted in Laughton heading the wins for skips, and W. J. llobbins for leads. An entrancefee of Is. per head was charged, which went to a patriotic fund. A match between Thorndon and Seatoun Clubs for .the coveted Edwin leathers was played at Seatoun yesterday, and resulted in a win for Thorndon. VICTORIA CLUB. - A holiday tournament was got off at the Victoria Club's green yeste/uay. After three games had been pla.\ed, the rinks skipped by Godber and Marks were the only ones with three wins. At the conclusion of, the play-off Marks was 6 up, and so won the tournament. AVELLINGTON CLUB. The annua'f fixture of .the presidents and vice-presidents' match was,played on the AVellington yesterday.
