POLICE CHANGES
PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS. Some promotions, and transfers in the Police Force are. announced, following the promotion of Superintendent O'Donovan to the post of Commissioner and of Inspector Norwood to the rank of Superintendent. The changes were delayed over "the holidays. Sub-Inspector Marsack, Palmerston North, is promoted Inspector, and transferred to Wellington. . Senior Sorgt. Dew, Mount Cook, is appointed Sub-Inspector, and transferred to Lambton Quay. Sub-Inspector M'Kinnon, Lambton Quay, is transferred to Palmerston North. - „, '■' *. ■- j. i Sergeant Crean, Thames, is promoted Senior-Sergeant, and is to take the place of Senior-Sergeant Dew at Mount "inspector Wilson, of Wanganui, and at one time of Wellington, is about to retire after twenty-sis years' service, with honorary rank of superintendent. His place at Wanganui will be taken by Inspector Heudrey, of Lambton Inspector Sheehan, of Auckland, has been transferred to Invercargill, and his place at Auckland wil} bo filled by Sub-Inspector Fouhy, of New Plymouth, who.has been promoted to the rank of Inspector. , Sub-Inspector M'llveney, of : Auckland, has been transferred to New Plymouth, m ■ l Senior-Sergeant Mathieson, Onnstchurch, has been promoted Sub-Inspec-tor, and Senior-Sergeant Wohlmann, Waihi, has been transferred to Christchurch. Senior-Sergeant Wohlmann will be replaced at Waihi by Sergeant O'Grady, of Ponsonby, who is promoted 'to the rank of senior-servant. Sergeant Gaffney, statistics clerk of Lambton Quay, has been raised to tho rank of senior-sergeant.
