AREA CROPPED LAST YEAR. (Rec. January 17, 8.5 p.m.) London, January 17. Tlio Board of Agriculturo reports an increase of 'J0.984 acres cultivated in England and Wales in 916,' compared with 1915. The wheat area declined twelve per cent., barley increased eight p'or cent., potatoes declined 35,451 acres, equal to ten and a half per cent. —-Aus.-N.54. Gable Assn.
