MAGISTRATE'S COURT

MISCELLANEOUS CASES. Before Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday, Frederick O'ilay was fined 2Us. for being found drunk, and a prohibition order was issued against him.

On a charge .of threatening behaviour, William Henry Trengrovo was i fined10s., and costs 75., in default three days' imprisonment. A similar charge against Walter Gardner was dismissed.

For Sunday trading Herbert Standidgo was fined 10s., and costs 75., on ono count, and ordered to pay 7s. costs on «nother.

Henry Ainswortb, the driver of a motor delivery van, was fined 55., and 75." costs, for failing to stop when ordered to do so by a policeman. Charles H. Worboys, for riding a.'cycle on the wrong side of Clyde Quay, was ordered to pay oosts amounting to 7s. Similar charges were preferred 'against William Dean, Roderick M'Leod, William Oughton, James Overard, and George Leafcham Rae, a like penalty being imposed in each case.

Alexander Smith, for leaving a motor unattended, was fined 10s., and costs 75., in default three days' imprisonment. James Wood, for riding a motorcyclo at an excessive rato of speed, was fined 205., and costs 75., for having no light on his machine; he was fined 55., and costs 75., and on a charge of failing to stop when ordered to do bo ho was oonvicted and discharged. H. O. F. Spargo, for failing to attend military drill, was .fined 55., and costs 75., in default seven days' military detention. The firm of Yeo Wah and Co., for selling tobacco aftor hours, was fined 205,, and oosts 7s. W. Leo, on a similar charge, was fined 10s., and 7s. costs. For failing to attach a label to goods sent out to be made elsetfhcre than in a registered factory, C. Smith and Co. wero fined 10s., and costs 7s. For a iiko offenco Harry Baker was ordered to pay costs amounting to 7s. Ellon Boyd, for selling adulterated milk, was fined 10s., and 17s. 6d. costß. Parkor and Orsborn, for a liko offence, wero fined £10 and costs, and Stnveley and Weight, also convicted of this offence, woro fined £0, and £1 18s. 6d. costs.
