•The monthly meeting of the HuU jOoTinty Council was held yesterday morning, Councillor Wakeham presiding There were also present: Councillor's \\~. J. Howell, M. W. Welch, J. Whitoraan, T. Edwards, and W. Galloway.' •-/ Councillor Welch reported that nothing further had been done in connection with the Day's Bay water and drainage scheme. Councillor Whitoman intimated that they would snpply a report re footpath extension on the Golf Links Roiul at the next meeting of the council. ■ The, overdraft at ~tho 'bank was re* ported to be £6951 Os. 6d. It was arranged that, the committee visit the crushing plant, and after examination arrango a date for a special meeting of the council in connection therewith. . . A memorandum from the Marine Department in connection with the vesting of sea, beaches at Plimmerton and Paekakariki was "received" by the council. • Three cases of scarlet fever and three of diphtheria were reported from Taita.
