THE THAMES APPEALS
Thames, January 9. The Military Appeal Board to-day Heard twenty-four cases, mainly of farmers, alleging undue hardship. Most of the appeals were dismissed, time to make- arrangements being given. Two appeals were - sustained under the •statute, as only, one son was at home and the others at the front. ■ Two miners of Waihi appealed on the wound of religious objections, but did not turn up, and their appeals were dismissed..
