A charge against Alfred Brickell, of having on December 27 stolon ten cases of benzine, the property of A.- S. Paterson and Co., was adjourned till the 12th inst., to enable the accused to obtain a solicitor. A woman charged with - having attempted to commit suicide on January 5 was remanded for a week for medical observation. For insobriety, Cornelius Sullivan -was fined £3, and James Williams £2. - Ildefonso. Herniosilla, a prohibited immigrant, charged with having landed in New Zealand, was further remanded till to-day. The accused is a member' of the Kia. Ora's crew, and ho stated to the Court that he had left the vessel because other members wero in the habit of molesting him.
