A SPLENDID WALKING TOUR
Sir, —I notice among the locals in today's Dominion that the Hon. Dr. M'Nal) is made responsible for saying, "The walk from Te Anau to Milford is a strenuous walk, which was formerly taken by young men." Lost this statement should prevent elderly people from taking "the best "walking tour in the world," I may mention that a few years ago I took tho trip, and that there must hare been twenty or thirty ladies on the track, some of them by no means youiig, and somo men wero over seventy, as I was myself.— l»m, etc./" C. W. SMTTH.
