COAL FOB NEW ZEALAND. According to tho Dunedin "Star," four colliers will load coal at Newcastle during the next few weeks for Now Zealand. The Kakapo will load about Thursday for Dunedin, tlio Kauri about the second ■week in January for Tiniaru and Oamaru, the KoMvi about ,the middlo of next week for Wellington, and the Kurow about next Friday for Auckland. In addition to the vessels named the Koromilto is Joadiiiß at Newcastle for Jjyttelton. and tho Balconoa will load a part cargo at Newcastle for Auckland. WAITOMO F.KOM CALCUTTA. The Union Company advise that the cargo steamer Waitorao arrived at, Bunbury (West Australia) at 7 a.m. on Friday from Calcutta. The vessel is en route to Wellington, Lytteltou, Tiraaru. Bluff, and Dunedin with a big cargo of corn sacks for the New Zealand harvest. She loaded a quantity of hardwood, and replenishes her bunkers at Bunbury, and was to have left there yesterday or today for Wellington direct. WAHtEA'6 ACCIDENT. Whilst entering the new harbour at Jlotiieka last week the coastal steamer Waimea struck the edge- of the channel willi lier port screw, and stripped threeblades off it. The vessel grounded at tho eastern end of the cut while endeavouring to reach the wharf and after heing floated oft' struck on tho edsc of 'the channel opposito tbo coal store. At low water two new blades were fitted. TAKAPUNA WITHDRAWS. The Union Company advise that the Tflkapuna, which arrived in port yesterday morning from Nelson and Pioton, will pay off her crew to-day and will afterwards take up nn anchorage in tho stream.
