CHRISTMAS CHURCH SERVICES
' The Christmas Festival was celebrated in the churches of all denominations in Wellington, a special servico of intercession being hold. The usual services appointed for the season J-were held in all the Anglican churches in tho city. Tho sermon at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral on Christmas Day was preached, by. the Lord Bishop of Wellington. The Roman Catholic churches also celebrated tho festival with the ceremonies proper to the occasion. ■In tho Presbyterian, churches the Christmas services wore mostly held on Sunday, but in others, among them St. John's (Willis Street) a special Christmas servico was hold on Sunday morning. The same generally applies to the Congregational and Methodist churches. ' The Sunday servicos were made the Christmas Services.
