THE PURITAN STOCK
Sir,—ln the seventeenth century it was the intervention of the Puritan Oliver Cromwell which preserved the Kingdom from the treachery of a dynasty and 'the designs of European enemies. In the twentieth century,'at the greatest crisis in 'history, the Puritan stock in the person of Lloyd George is the hope, of tho nation. So long as the Puritan stock flourishes on British soil, our race is safe and our Empire impregnable. I think it would be well that the fact ishould be impressed upon tlie minds' of the rising generation, as the reason why, when other nations fall into decay, the British Empire maintains its supremacy. —I am, etc., , BRITON.
