FUTILE PEACE NOTES
Sir,—lt is but natural that the man who silently stood by with folded arms while Germany ravished Belgium, and who sent Christmas greetings to the Kaiser 011 tho inauguration of this despot's infamous work of 1914, should now endeavour to save his friend from the irresistible doom that, Lloyd George is resolutely determined shall rightly' fall on the Prussian Emperor's head.
No Britisher will for ono moment tolerate any suggestions. on bebalf of Germany from Woodiow Wilson—not even if -it means war with America. That nation is too divided to take united' action on either side, and if the pro-German element dominates the President, the help that Japan can give, and would! the pro-British scction would decide the issue in the quickest of quick .time. We can therefore regard all Notes. emanating from Mr. Wilson as the impotent vapour of a degenerate American pacifist, who does not understand that peace.is quito impossible till Prussian militarism is banished from the face of tho. earth.— 1 am. etc;, • F. T. MOORE, j Johnsonville, December 22, 1916.
