IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
FEDERAL PREMIER INVITED. (Rec. Deoember 24, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, December 24. Mr. William Hughes, Federal Premier, has admitted having received an invitation to attend an Imperial Conference. He declined to indicate whether he intended to accept. Mr. Hughes replied to Mr. Lloyd George's cablegram that Australia hails with satisfaction the declaration of his polioy, and is prepared to accord him the_ fullest support in carrying out his policy, necessary to a speedy viotorj; and a lasting peace*—Pr4£S AseH. 1
