LONDON WOOL SALES. ; London, December 20. At the wool sales there was a very poor selection of merinos, mostly carbonising sorts, but a few good crossbceds realised full late rates. Prices :-Gear, top 33d„ average 255 d.; Struan, 30d. and 29Jd. It is believed the, list for January 4 will be kept open a. little longer to allow ships to arrive.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. (Rec. December 21, 10.10 p.rir;) London. December 20. At the wool sales 39,462 bales have been catalogued to date, and 36,930 sold. There was a fair selection of merino and crossbreds, and there has heen a further hardening on the opening rates, all sorts being practically 10 to 15 per- cent, above November rates. Fancy prices were paid for greasy merino combings, which are scarce and urgently neoded. Slipes were \generally 3d. above November, rates.
