A man named H. Onslow, 52 years of age, residing at Korokoro, Petonc, fell down a bank yesterday and broke his right leg. He is at present in the Hospital. Albert Smith, a telegraph messenger, while riding towards Newtown yesterday, fell off ilis bicycle owing to tlio wheel catching in the tram lino, and was thrown under a dray and sustained a broken arm. Fred. Hannan, a telegraph messenger, while riding towards the Basin Reserve, yesterday, fell off his bicycle and received slight concussion. Ho was admitted to the Hospital. CHILD ACCIDENTALLY SHOT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, December 21. A child named Jack Crawford, aged lour years, whose parents reside at Gore, met with a. fatal shooting accident an Katea yesterday. His uncle, a lad about 16 years of age, was cleaning out a AVinchester repeating rifle, when it went off, the bullet passing through. Crawford's body. The child died about four hours later. The uncle states that lio put six cartridges in the rifle, and fired six off. Ho presumed that one had been left in the weapon previously.
