It is reported that the Germans have levied four million sterling <-n Bucharest, and have ordered Rumanian paper money to bear the German stamp to the amount of 15 per cent, of the face value. The German Government has issued through the "Cologne Gazette" and other newspapers a warning that the corniest.of Rumania would not produce any immediate relief :in connection with the food supply, adding: "It is impossible to increase the rations of bread, meat, or anything."—Aus.-N.Z.
