All the work was registered on the sand, which, under the conditions, was in good "Vimeter did four furlongs in 49 3-ssec, and Biplane five furlongs in lmin. Ssce. Colonel Soult went a round in 2mm. 0 3 SS6C Greenstrcet heat Thames over five furlongs in lmin. ssec, and Cultriforni and Tobasco ran the same distance in lmin. 4-sec. , El Gallo and Te Papapa went seven furlongs'in lmin. 34sec. Maro Anthony did a round at threequarter pace. . . Waiutu beat Sir Ralph over fivo furiongs, mn in lmin. 4sec. ■ ' Wishful and The Toff, separately, did two rounds at half to three-quarter pace. | Lady Penurv, with tho assistance of - Guiding Way over tho last 6ix furlongs, ran a mile in lmin. 50 3-ssec. Chortle and Depredation did tho same distance in lmin. 49scc. Tatterley went,fivo furlongs in lmin. 6 2-ssec. Hopfield, with Fisher as a companion over'the last sis furlongs, did seven furlongs, in lmin. 34sec. After breakfast the conditions were worse, and the work was of an uniin-' portant character.
