THE COMING TOURNAMENT FIRST DAY'S DRAW The tournament committeo of the Wellington Bowling Centre met last evening to discuss arrangements in connection, with the Dominion tournament, which will be commenced at •Wellington on January 8. Colonel R. J. Collins presided. It was reported that complete arrangements had be'en mado for the electric lighting for the night tourna-. ment, to be held on tho nights of January 9 and 10. Mr. T. Bush, as chairman of the Suggestions Committee, recommended that four members il any affiliated club might enter; that entries be limited to 32; and that two short games ho played each night on the "sudden death" principle. Arrangements had been made for the Trentham Band to play nightly, and ladies wero being asked to organise sideshows, the proceeds of these, along with the rest, to be devoted to patriotic ends. Money had been subscribed for two prizes, the first 'to be £12 125., and the second £8 Bs. The report was adopted. The chairman stated that owing to a record number of entries, not only in rinks, but also in pairs and singles, an increase was necessary in the number of rinks in each section.

Tho following arrangements were made in the above connection:—Rinks to be composed of eight sections of 14 and two of 12; pairs, of 13, sections of 16 in four divisions; singles, 12 scc- '. tions of 16' and one of 18. It was decided that rink play be at Wellington, Newtown, Victoria, Hataitai, Petone, Hutt, Lyall Bay, Ka- " rori, and Kelburn greens; pairs and singles on the Wellington, 7iewtown, Victoria, Hataitai, Petone, Hutt, Lyall Bay, Karori, Thorndon, Johnsonville, Khaudallah, and Te Hiwi greens.
