■ Tho "Times" correspondent at Cairo, commenting on tho improved conditions of Egypt compared with 1915, states that the Senussi movement has been broken, tho Turks' defensive positions are now far behind those previously held, tho commercial position is excellent, trade is flourishing, and the people aro prosperous and contented. German, trade influence has been practically eliminated. —"The Times."
