BREAKING-UP CEREMONY. The annual break-up of tho Marist Bros.' School, Hawkcscono Street, was lickl on r-'niliiy. His Grace Archbishop O'anea and tho Rev. Father Smyth presided, in Ins repurt, Brother Louis oaid tliat the school during tho -year bad maintained its past efficiency, aud the number of scholars had reached 141. Ho was pleased in being able to testify to their thoroughly good dispositions witn regard to studies, both religious and secular. The very satisfactory reports from tho inspectors during tho year and tho results of tho Sixth Standard examinations wero proofs of the earnestness brought to bear in their studies. On tho sporting field they had also beon prominent. They won the North District Schools' Championship in Association football, entitling each player to a silver medal. They had been successful, too, in winning the cup and championship of tho Sixth A Division in Association football. After tho presentation of tho prizes the Rov. Father'Smyth delivered a short address, and heartily thanked His Grace for attending at their prize-giving-His Grace, after stating that ho was pleased with tho results of tho school during tho year, stated . that it was gratifying to have such a fine number of Catholic boya attending the school, and he hopod that the number would continuo to increase, and that thoso who woro leaving would, as Father Smyth said, bo a,, credit to the church and school. Gold medal for handball championship, presented by Dr. Mackin—William Gamble. Gold medal for liaudball handicap, presented by Maurice MacEUigott—Frank Gamble. Gold and silver medal for arithmotio, presented by Percy Gallagher—Ccdrio Casey. Silver .medal for best home-work in Sixth Standard, presented by Mr. Thabor—Lawrence Raxworthy.
