MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNS. A CLERGYMAN KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, December 18. The Rev. J. R._ Shore, formerly of Hawera, who was inducted minister of St. Andrew's in October, was motoring, with Mr. R. Madill and three ladies, to conduct service in an out-district yosterday afternoon. When-' going down a hill at a speed of five miles, the car skidded and overturned, falling on Mr. Shore, killing him instantaneously. The others in the car were practically unhurt. CHILD SCALDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Pahiatua, December 18. The fourteen months old son of John Roy,_ of Mangatainoka, succumbod to injuries received on the head and neck by hot fat falling on the child. . The mother was also badly scalded. FATAL FALL FROM A HORSE. Dunedin, December 18. George Conn, 19 years of_ age, was thrown from a horse at Knikorai Valley this evening and was killed. Deceased apparently lost control of the liorso, which bolted and throw him, his head coming into contact with a telegraph post. . LITTLE BOY KILLED. Yesterday, the Superintendent of Polico was advised by telegram that a child named Roy Ford Steering, aged four years, was accidentally killed at To Horo through tlio shaft of a dray I falling on him and dislocating his neck.
