DENSE FOG IN LONDON
TRAFFIC HELD UP. London, December 17. The fog in London is the densest for many years. Omnibuses and taxicabs have ceased running. PeopTe carried torches, and flares lighted the Strand. Railway and tramway traffic in several directions was almost at a standstill for hours.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable 'Assn.
