The Nga&uta leaves hero to-niglit for Greyniouth, and will load back to Wellington. Tho Himitangi left Waitangi (Chatham Islands) 011 Saturday for Lyttelton with wool and sheep. ,She comes 011 to Wellington, being due here about next Thursday, and sails again for Waitangi early in January. . The Barber liner Century, from New York dircct, did not arrive yesterday as was expected. It is probable that sho will arrive to-day. The Karu. which arrived yestcday, sails for Dunedin to-day. The coal-carricrs Polierua and Komata are due to arrive this morning from the West Coast. Captain Whitcford, of the cable steamer Tutanekai. which is repairing the cablo in Cook Strait, states that he has anchored a huoy in Cook Strait. The position is south 65 degrees west magnetic 10 miles distance from Sinclair Head.
