The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that tho Dongarra took tho loading berth at "Montreal later than was expected, and consequently is not'expected to reaoh Auckland until January 5. Tho Dongarra (5553 tons, Captain M'Kay) left Montreal on November 17.. KAITUNA FROM MELBOURNE. ' • Tho Union Company's cargo carrier Kaltuna. which arrived at Dunedin on Wednesday, experienced heavy weather on tho trip aoross. She cleared from Melbourne on November 24, and proceeded to Hobart, where sho lifted timber, and then -went on to Port Arthur, Huon, and Port Esperenco to complete loading. She left the lasUnamed port on December 7 for Bluff, and experienced strong northorly winds and very rough seas, together' with heavy squalls of rain, until Bluff -waß reached last Monday. Five hundred tons of superphosphates -were loaded at Melbourne, and 800,000 feet of timber at tho Tasmanian ports. This is to bo discharged at Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. ZEALANDIO AT LONDON. Cable advice was rcceivcd by the S.S. and A. Company yesterday stating that the liner Zealandic arrived at London on Wednesday last. Tho Zealandic left Auckland on October 9. PORT CHALMERS FROM LONDON. The-O. and D. liner Port Chalmers (ex Whakarua), yrllicli arrived at Auckland on Wednesday morning f ro m London, via Australian ports, had 550 tons of cargo to discharge at tho northern port. The vessel was delayed a week at Sydney owing to the coal strike, and after loaving tho Australian port a heavy northerly gale was encountered, but after clearing this fine weather was experienced to Auckland. Captain A. West, late of the Star of Scotland, is in charge of tho vessel, and be has associated with him the following officers:—First. Mr. B. Sherrington; sccond, Mr. G. A. Hall; third, Mr. p. S. Fullcrton: fourth, Mr. A. 6. Moore. Tho Port Chalmers is now on hor -way to Wellington, via Napior, and is duo hero next Tuesday.,

The Willaston is on her lirst voyage to Now Zealand. She is a .vessel of 4300 tons, and was built in 1914 y *Dobson and Co., of Newcastle, her port of registration being Liverpool. Her \ en s£h is 400 feet, breadth 62 feet, and depth 26 feet. J.' Edgar and Co. fire the owners of the vessel, which, as far as Is Known, is commanded by Captain Jones. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Mr. K. 6. Dickie, thiixl engineer of the larawera, has come ashore. Mr, It. Lewis' has joined the Maori as second engineer, replacing Mr. E. Falla,, who will join tho Takapuna as chief engineer. The Kgatoro is due hero from Auckland, uisbornc, and Napier this morning, having left the last-named port yesterday, afternoon. She goes from Wellington to Wanganui, and thence to Dunedin tonight. . The Wootton is at present engaged taka load of sheep from the Sounds to wanganui. Messrfe. She then proceeds on to Lyttelton, where she will go on the slip for general overhaul and cleaning. Messrs. Hatrick and Co., advise that the Tainui will leave Waitara to-day for Weiungton. ' It was cxpected that the Mapourika would leavo Nelson at 1.30 a.m. to-day. and sho is due here this morning -with general cargo and coal to disoharge. Owing to the late arrival of the Oorinna from south yesterday, it was found impossible to dispatch her fqr Kelson. It has been decided to omit tho call at Nelson.
