Wright, Stephenson' and Co., Ltd., l'ahiatua. report on their cattle fair, held on December 13, as follows;— We offered a full yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers from Uawko's Bay, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Wanganui, Main Trunk, and local surrounding districts. Quirk's Lighting and Engineering, Ltd of Austrlasia, announce that thoy have now arranged to manufacture their Patent Safely Aair Gas Machine in IVew Zealand. The demand for t'heso machines in New Zealand lias been so irret that it warranted opening here. Over 5000 homesteads in Australia are lighted with the "Quirk" system, which enables the use of gas stoves, bath-heaters gas irons, etc., similar to connecting with a town gas supply. Tho company are prepared to fulfil any number of orders with loeally-mado machines forthwith.
