IRON AND STEEL FOR BRITAIN. (Reo. December 12, 10.10 p.m.) Melbourne, December 12. Replying to a suggestion to send to Britain munitions instead of half the iron and steel output, thus increasing the employment ,here, Senator Pearce stated that attempts to manufacture munitions in Australia had failed, as specifications were constantly being altered owing to experiences gained on the battlefields.
