CANADIAN OFFICER REGAINS HIS COMMISSION.
The wholo Canadian Array has learned with sympathy and delight of tho reinstatement of Lieut. 0. B. Jones to his commissioned rank. Deprived by court-martial of his commission, ho immediately enlisted as a private in a well-known iMbntreai battalion, and showed not only strict devotion to duty, but conspicuous gallantry on several occasions. He became a corporal, then won his sergeant's stripes. Ho was awarded the D.0.J1. for his reckless courage, and again a bar for his medal. On September 15 he was in the thick of tho lighting. It was said of him that ho "was perpetually out killing Germans." Mis conduct was such as fa recommend him for further award. Later ho was so severely wounded that it is improbable that ho will bo again able to servo his country as a. soldier, hut bo is now reinstated as an officer, having won back his honour.—"Daily News."
